1. Aren’t toner and ink just a commodity? What difference does it make where I purchase toner or ink as long as I get the best price?
A. Not all toners and inks are comparable. There is truth to the adage “You get what you pay for.” When you purchase your toner or ink from Laser Printer Technologies, we make sure you get the best toner or ink for your printer. Usually we’ll have what you need in stock, but if we don’t we can order and get it to you fast. We offer free delivery of your order and take back your old toner cartridges so that they don’t end up in the landfill.
2. What do you do with the old toner cartridges?
We ship them to the company that produces our remanufactured cartridges to be refilled and used again. That saves landfill space, avoids any potential ink or toner spills in a landfill and allows us to also offer you remanufactured cartridges at a substantial savings. It’s good for the environment and it’s good for our customer’s budgets.
3. I’ve heard that remanufactured cartridges are not really reliable. Why would I want to buy those?
Remanufactured cartridges are very reliable. The technology and the processes involved in remanufacturing cartridges are constantly refined and updated. As with any product, there is a small percentage risk that a cartridge will not work correctly, but the cartridges we get have a failure rate that’s lower than the national average. Plus, we offer a 100% guarantee on any product we sell and replace failed cartridges with no questions asked.
4. Are remanufactured cartridges cheaper?
Typically a remanufactured cartridge is about 40-60% cheaper than a new cartridge. If you do a lot of printing, that can add up over the course of a year.
5. Will a remanufactured cartridge hurt my printer or void my warranty?
Federal law prohibits printer manufacturers from voiding your warranty for using a remanufactured cartridge. Using a remanufactured cartridge should not hurt your printer at all. Should a remanufactured cartridge sold by Laser Printer Technologies fail not only will we stand behind the cartridge, if needed we’ll clean and repair your printer if the problem is related to the failure of the cartridge. 6. Where do you get your remanufactured cartridges?
Our cartridges are remanufactured in Michigan at a facility in Portage. We’re committed to doing as much business as we can in Michigan. We understand that money spent in our home state helps all of us by helping to rebuild the state’s economy and we’re big supporters of buying locally or regionally whenever possible.
7. I live in Gaylord. Can I get delivery of my cartridges?
We deliver throughout most of Northwest Michigan. Yes, we go as far east as Gaylord, north to Harbor Springs, west to Frankfort and south to Cadillac. If you live outside those areas we can ship your cartridges to you using UPS.
8. Do you sell printers too?
Yes, we sell Hewlett Packard printers both new and off-lease. If you’re in the market for a printer, but the price of a new one is just a bit more than you want to spend, you will probably find what you’re looking for at a price you can afford if you check out our off-lease equipment. Each off-lease printer is tested and reconditioned as needed by our service staff. Best of all, an off-lease printer is usually about 60% cheaper than buying new. Plus printer installation is free!
9. What about service?
We are the only fully-authorized HP service providers north of Grand Rapids. One of our professional technicians can take care of just about any service need you have. We offer preventive maintenance at your place of business, continuous maintenance and support, and discounts if we provide service for more than one machine.
10. If my printer’s down my office doesn’t function. How long will I have to wait?
We specialize in service at the speed of need – either the same day or the next day – at your office. Of course if you prefer to drop off your printer we can arrange for that as well. If we can’t repair your printer quickly, we will provide you a free loaner.
11. It seems like I never get my toner ordered in time and then I’m out for a day or two. Can you help with that?
Absolutely. We have an auto fill program for customers. We work with our customers to establish a time frame during which they will use the toner in their machine. We deliver replacement cartridges to them on a regular schedule so that they never run out.
